Hello my friends,

I thought I'd let you know about my last diving WE. Actually I did not do my diving at all but a lot of constructive things with the WKPP.

Saturday was a Hydrilla day. For those who don't know, Hydrilla is a plant that grows very fasts and invades the basin of Wakulla. So I was one of the many volonteers who get together on a regular basis to pull it out of the water. That day we filled 10 trucks with a total of 20000 pounds of it!

I spent the next day was in Leon Sinks Geological Area on another mission: recover a wooden platform that was sunk last year. This platform is used to set up divers before they go in the cave. Jeff and I found it in 70 feet of water and attached ropes to it so that the guys on the surface could lift it up. The whole operation was entertaining to say the least.

I finished the WE with a 4 1/2 hour drive back to St Petersburg and am now recovering from a hard but gratifying WE.

I hope your WE was nice too.

Take care.

Herve.
